I'm not aware of insurance companies going out of their way to drive hundreds of miles to where you live with a clipboard to ask everyone who breathes the same air as you to find out if you're lying about your insurance documents. The only time you have to worry is if you have an accident and you blurt out that you drive the car more often than the primary driver, or act as the owner of the vehicle, even though it is up to a lot of debate when an accident happens and a claim has to be made. You could drive the car more than usual, it doesn't make you the primary driver. The primary driver is the one at the top of the list of drivers, the first on the policy - not just the one who drives the car often than usual - it's an interesting loop hole. I'm driving my mum's car a lot at the momen because it's awesome, if I have an accident they won't care because I am insured to drive that vehicle anyway - regardless of my age or if I am on top of the list of driver or not.

Your insurance company will not drive to your house to ask your neighbours who drives the car the most. Your insurance company will not go to the petrol station to waste their time and money to waste another organisations time and money to see if you're lying, even though filling up a car doesn't indicate in any way who is the primary driver (you could simply do it because you're the most comfortable filling the car). Your insurance company will not ring the police to ask them to monitor you (they will only do background checks IF it is necessary when creating the policy).

The only time they will waste their time and money is when you drive over someone, kill the poor buggar and leave the scene of the crime or cause a monumental accident, and even then it's difficult to prove - it all depends on if it is literally just you driving all the time.

So I think some of you are fear mongering and creating theories

i've got a quote (i'm 17) from Direct line, the price is £1750 (that's me as a named driver and my dad as the main driver, he has been driving for 15+ years and has 5 years no claims bonus) this quote is full comprehensive as well. Every other quote i've had has been £3-5,000!

Are you for real? Link me to two or more instances of this happening please.

They won't hire out a private investigator, ask your neighbors for no real reason, only if you have an accident in the car, they will do this so they don't have to pay out, but, they wouldn't hire out a private investigator at all lol, it'd cost more than it's worth to the company. Original poster, don't listen to these people, Gommeinc and Stefan wolves speak sense.

I think I know everything? No, i don't. You seem to be the one persistently arguing with everyone acting like the king queen of the forum, the acts getting boring now though |-)

Have you dealt with an insurance company after a crash where you've found out they've hired a private investigator out on you? no you having, we both haven't, so were both equally in a position to discuss this.

I'm not acting like the king my friend, trust me, if I was the king, the first thing I would do is banish all the sheep from my kingdom :L

Yeah, I have dealt with an insurance company after a crash where they've investigated it, just as they do any crash. (not my fault j/s) but because of the fact my insurance is in my name, and so's the car, there was no need for them to look into it any further. I also have friends that have been investigated, so I think I have the upper hand here?

No, you don't have the upper hand, where have you proven that they hired a private investigator to find out information about anyone? also, how do you know a private investigator costs £500 to hire? you don't, that was just a pure guess.

Aha, banish all the sheep from your kingdom, nice one unfortunately you won't be at the top of a kingdom for a long time 'my friend' you're just a graphics manager for a Habbo Fansite, which, if i'm not mistaken, you got fired from a few months back. As for the sheep part, I don't follow the herd, i voice my own opinion love, but i liked the joke, it was quite witty, for you...

Where did I say that the private investigator costs 500 quid exactly? Didn't, I said, what, meaning that was an estimate. Never said they hired a private investigator, but it gets investigated by the company ! and I love how you're turning to trying to be rude now.

I can be a ***** too, but I shall leave you with your dignity and let you carry on pretending to be the big man around the public forums. It's just nice that I have PMs and posts that I can snigger at which you've made regarding this 'Habbo fansite graphics' malarky.

500 what, meaning an estimate, meaning that comment actually has no substance what so ever and that you shouldn't of said it...

You didn't initially say they hired out private investigators, but sectional did, which is who I quoted originally, but then for whatever reason you got involved, and then estimated the price of a private investigator trying to back up sectionals comment and insinuating that insurance companies do hire private investigators. I'm not trying to be rude at all, you started that with your patronizing comment saying I think I know everything.

I don't really know which past pm's or comments you're on about, if you wish to pm me them if they actually do exist, then i'll be more than happy to comment about them.

And again, i'm not trying to be the big man on the forums, you're the one attacking everyone's posts, starting conflicts when it's not necessary, pretty sad if i'm honest. Go back to your 'throne' and shut the hell up, your boring the life out of me, bubye.
