Default Website Development Forum - Tutorials

Just an idea that I got from QuotePort's thread being stuck. If users posted website resources in the future then I'm assuming these are going to be stuck, resulting in the section being clogged up with stuck threads.

In order to prevent this, I think you should create a new section called "Resources and Tutorials" and move the Tutorials section into this and create a new section to go along with that called Resources so they're all neat and tidy because prefixes are just horrible.

Also, I believe Oli was going to redo the Tutorials section with new and updated ones so perhaps you could create an announcement and reward users with some rep for creating tutorials in the section.

We actually already have this, it was Jamesy's idea (and it does have a few tutorials in), but it was never made public and not many people put time into creating tutorials.

It's currently hidden from the public and afaik only a few people (me included) + admins can see the forum.

I do remember the tutorial section being started up by forum members with Jamesy and it would be great to see that actually being used and with more tutorials being created and put into there. Will be nice to see what Sct says about the matter!

Yeah, if Scott approves then maybe you could create an official announcement and reward users for good tutorials.

Well you're lucky I can't even see that forum, I didn't even know it exists!

It is a good idea and would be much better than the technology forum being cluttered with stuck threads and considering there is already a forum there I will get it made public and and I like your idea about asking people to create tutorials and get rewarded for it. Hopefully I'll do some updates tomorrow and I'll include this in it, good suggestion!
