Genuine Windows Notification

I didn't download software Windows but I believe that it is Pirated , I accidently updated the Genuine Windows Notification and sadly it had to reboot my PC , now it say its Pirated and my background has gone black , I didn't notice that somethings have gone limited and I'm abit worried. How can you undo that and I'm getting worried soon now.

Assuming that you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7. Start Menu > Right click "Computer" > Properties > At the bottom it says "Windows Activation" and should have a link saying activate windows blah blah blah.

That is if you have a legit version.

You use a Windows 2000 XP, what? So you use Windows XP with a green start button and a blue task bar, yeah?

Windows XP:

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Activate Windows

Also on your computer case, do you have a sticker anywhere saying Microsoft Windows XP or whatever your operating system is with a product key? Looks a bit like this but can look different:

Depends where you got your Windows 7 from. Do you not have the sticker on the side of your computer case either? Or on the bottom of the laptop.

I'm going to assume it's a dodgy copy and therefore it won't work correctly. You could always ask your Dad about it since he is the one who installed it for you.
