Why do we remember this when there have been many more devastating events in recent history? Probably to reinforce the image of a need to wage a war on terror.

I was 7 at the time and I remember seeing the horrific images on the tv. My thoughts are with all who were effected it.

Not the biggest cause of death though? 9/11 is blown out of proportion. Just look at the natural disasters around the world.

i don't think you can compare natural disasters to deliberate acts of murder. terrorism is at the opposite end of the spectrum to tsunamis/floods/earthquakes, how can you even say 9/11 is overhyped or 'blown out of proportion'? would you like to say that to the victim's families?

We call it 9/11, not 11/9 for anyone curious about that. Every year I worry about another terrorist event occurring on the date whether it's a copycat or authentic reoccurrence. I hope that wont be the case.

Would you like to say to the families of victims of any large natural disaster that their deaths were less meaningful because they weren't killed by human beings?

now where did i state that? if you'd like to read my post you'd see that i disagreed with the notion that 9/11 is overhyped - where did i say that victims of natural disasters deserve less remembrance? sounds like you're trying to put words into my mouth..
