    Tv License fees..

You are supposed to pay for a tv license fee for your room at university, but I was wondering how many people do?

    Cheers

You don't need it for Iplayer/skyplayer etc etc only for watching live TV. That's what most people watch.

You are meant to pay it. For halls they had a tv licence for the one in the living area but if you wanted one for your room yo uhad to buy your own. lmao Really don't think many people pay them though.

Ah I just read it again, it mentioned online but then I realised it said if you watch them Live Watching them after they have been broadcast it fine.

I've got a TV License, no point in getting caught out for such a little amount of money tbh.

£150 which could be spend on more important things, though.

I wasn't sure if you had to pay to watch on iPlayer etc - that is what I was checking. If you did that would be disgusting imo - it isn't like the government haven't already hit students with £27k fees.

haha yeah could be spent elsewhere, but being hit with a grand fine for just watching tv would be even worse.
and you can get a refund for the months you aren't at uni.

How much TV do you watch live then?

I asked this for my sister, and I know she barely watches live tv. Just sky player, iplayer and stuff like that.

Out of interest, if she were to watch Sky Player and watch a live football match (on Sky Sports), would she then require a tv license?
