    Lmao thanks

I'm not even being bad. I loved her first album, 21 is **** imo and I have no problem with her but it's just the way people talk about her really irritates me.

It also annoys me when people say "SHE DOESN'T NEED A GIMMICK TO SELL" when basically, being so ******* basic and, let's be honest, fat, is her gimmick. It's her "thing". Not disrespecting her for it though, just the people that fail to acknowledge that.

Idk, I think movies and sound tracks is a bit different (I'm probably wrong).

For me, if I like an artist and their video is decent then I'll buy it. That's all.

But because she's overweight and can sing that makes it all okay and you can pass it off as "real music"

Everyone has their own opinion, but really

And to the person that said Adele doesn't use "voice synthesizers" - you're really mistaken if you think that ANYONE these days doesn't use effects on their voice on record. If you REALLY believe that she doesn't use it at all can someone tell me why she doesn't sing the high notes in the chorus of the song live? Please don't be delusional.

I like Adele, she's good for what she is but I wish people would stop acting like she's actually making groundbreaking music and videos, when really all she's done is walk down a bridge and sit on a chair.
That's where you're wrong, if another one of the singers who prance around in their underwear were to make a decent video and have a song with decent lyrics that actually meant something to them then I wouldn't be calling it boring and lazy at all, I would be glad that they've done that. It's also got nothing to do with the size she is, if she was "average" size then I would still be saying the same things, what you have just said it a load of rubbish. However, we do have our own opinions like you said.

There is also two different versions of the song, the one that's on the video is the album version and the one she sung at The Brits was different. The fact is that when she preforms live she doesn't sound any different to the tracks on the album really, so even if there is some sort of voice editing it can't be as much as some other artists nowadays.

Congratulations for proving you know nothing about how music is produced and recorded. EVERY artist has their voice auto-tuned for the final product, whether you're Beyonce, Adele, Susan Boyle, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha. Listen to the album version of SLY. In the chorus she goes into her higher register when she sings "don't forget me...", but she NEVER does that live. Why? Because she can't hit those notes, or at least can't comfortably jump up an octave like that. I don't know why they have her going high on the record anyway, the live version sounds way better... To suggest Adele's voice isn't edited is stupid.

To be honest there is no such thing as "decent lyrics" (subjective) and every song "means something" so those points are invalid. I'd prefer to watch one of these women that you describe do a dance routine dressed in whatever the hell they want, in a video with an actual story-line (that "means something"? :rolleyes than Adele walking down a bridge or sitting on a chair doing **** all.

Can we get to the point; you will never admit anything against her. You are evidently a big fan (cough, signature). I really like her album "21" - but that doesn't change the fact I agree with Judas on a long.

If an artist writes a song (I know many songs are wrote by others) they will almost always have some sort of relevance to them - so they would mean something to them. I know from fist hand experience, writing lyrics on something you don't really care about is bloody awful - so difficult. Adele could just have easily performed that video walking up a beach in a bikini - and if she had the figure it would look fine, and seem perfectly fine - it could even work better if done at night or early morning with really calm, soothing waves. But she is different to most other big artists in that respect; she is a bigger lady than those.

But yeah, I love her music but it is near impossibly to deny that this video is quite literally her taking a stroll over a bridge. Dang I wish I could make money doing that.

Her label have obviously realised that they can release dirt-cheap videos and people will still eat it up so they needn't waste money on a big production when they will make a huge profit anyway. Quite clever, actually.

The awkward moment when you use "eat it up" when referring to Adele lol

I've just said in my last post that even if she has had her voice auto-tuned for the final product that they wouldn't have to do a lot of work on it, she doesn't sound much different from singing live to the tracks on the album. There are two different versions to the song, the one she preforms live and the album version.

I think that there actually is such a thing as decent lyrics and songs which mean something so therefore the points which I made aren't valid. If you actually listen to the lyrics of Adele's songs they actually mean something to her, the fact that she's obviously been heartbroken. There are loads of songs that get put into the charts with lyrics that mean **** all, it's stupid in my opinion. I've also not got a problem with you watching video's with people half naked, whatever floats your boat.

I've got nothing to go against Adele, so yeah I'm going to have to disagree with your's and Judas's posts. I've not got a problem with you sharing your opinions though, fire away.

All I'm saying is that some artists, not all, come up with lyrics that mean nothing to them and make music for people's eyes rather than their ears. The video from her Someone Like You song is supposed to be showing some sort of emotion and loneliness when she's walking through Paris and I think it fits in perfectly with the fact that her album is to do with heartbreak. I know not everyone is going to be jumping up for joy when they're watching it and I don't expect everyone to love it either.

You either love it or hate it.

Generally singers can sing relatively well - or they would never get to their positions in the first place.
