Spam Habbo...

Is humour necessarily a bad thing? The thread seemed to of died in the Spam forum, so if people did reply to it in Habbo In General then it must have a point behind it for it cause a discussion. If it's got Habbo as the general theme keep then in the Habbo categories. It seems threads like this just rot away in those forums so it would make no difference in activity - it keeps the Habbo stuff with the other Habbo stuff

I don't think spam should be segmented into 100 different forums but the threads within could be categorized by the thread poster with the user of prefixes? What say thee?

Adding a prefix wouldn't solve the problem. The problem is that Spam has a certain stigma surrounding it and it's completely unwelcoming to Habbo users. This will not change regardless of whether there's a prefix or not.

It needs a spam section to the Habbo forum or completely relax the rules so some decent things can be posted...

I think this is a really good idea which could remain flexible and be at least trialled.

However I will rephrase, "I don't think spam should be divided" and that seems the general consensus in management.

Regardless of stigmas, spam is spam and all of it belongs to one forum. The prefix will just ensure that those who aren't interested in habbo spam won't get duped into opening a thread related to habbo because the thread had a vague title such as "OMGZ LOLZ" and then feel the massive injustice because of it.

I do think it should be, Habbo, Technology and Other.

I disagree and I don't think "spam is spam". The current spam forum is a place for every Tom, **** and Harry to whine about whatever they like that day. A spam forum specifically for Habbo would be for just that; Habbo. Perhaps the word "spam" is being misleading the real thing "we're" looking for is a bit more freedom, as opposed to sticking to tight rules out of fear of being called "pointless".

New members would be way more inclined to chat to each other in a Habbo spam section rather than the general. The current clique in spam should be recognised and respected. Take advantage of the cliques and move forwards.

If it's going to be a prefix then I just wouldn't bother at all. A new member is going to post a thread with [Habbo] in the name and everyone is going to jump down their throats. Why bother?

Plus, a prefix would just be another reason for moderators to edit your post and add it in.. :rolleyes:
