Of course it will sell, but it's not anything special in the tech world, releasing out of date tech If it had something amazing and unique it would be significant, but this is only of interest to people who want to see a fruit logo on a piece tech

I could say the exact same thing (if I wanted) about Windows 8, Google Plus, or many many products from many companies. The problem here is quite simple, you pretty much just hate Apple and everything they do

No they're new, the iPhone 4S isn't anything amazing Windows 8 = restructuring of the Windows platform, new features etc. Google Plus is a nice mix of Twitter and Facebook where you do not have to add friends or subscriptions, you just add to circles. All the iPhone 4S is, is a piece of technology only interesting to Apple users. It's nothing new to the tech world, considering Android devices have virtually all those features for ages. It isn't innovative, is basically what I'm saying

Apple never really advertised this to be something huge did they? If it was meant to be a big transition it would have been dubbed the 5 right? Also most phones aren't dual core, most phones don't don't have at first glance anything like the voice recognition. Did you want them to push out a 12MP camera and quad core phone now? I think a dual core handset with a refined camera is just right for the 4S, and will make a lot of iPhone users really happy.

You can't forget, this is also significant because it means iOS 5 is surly making its non beta public appearance soon too, and that in itself is absolutely huge.

They do everything five years after everyone else, so I assume you're just joking - and only metro UI apps will be cross compatible on ARM so I guess no Grand Theft Auto IV on my Windows tablet as planned, it is infact extremely so a mobile platform.

If this is a duplicate of Android so is WebOS, and so is Windows Phone 7 (minus the fact that neither actually has any applications or direct future). The features in iOS 5 are not rips from Android as you would have everyone believe, not at all. Things like notification center are natural things all mobile platforms should have. Also it's funny because I don't remember my Android machines having thumb keyboards, wifi syncing, native system integrated push peer messaging or whatever that Apple voice tool is that Engadget says works excellently.

Atleast my hate for RIM and Blackberry devices can be justified now because the company is actually dying. Your hate for Apple? I see absolutely no basis for it here my friend because this is infact a very big new product from Apple!

This is the most narrow minded aspect of your post. Every OS and every major software manufacture (Microsoft, Apple, Google and so on) feed off each other's ideas. Apple hasn't even done this to a crazy extent at all but I'm not surprised you commented. When Google made Facebook-Google you didn't say anything, but naturally since you superhate Apple you've mentioned it when Apple hasn't even stolen any direct features whatsoever. It's incredibly stupid for you to come into this thread just to say "these changes are nothing brand new to the tech world and Apple isn't innovative" because I can easily say exactly what you said about pretty much any company I want, and you've probably never used an iPhone, will never use iOS five and only said this because you clearly just hate Apple. On the correct side of things, Apple's going to make bucket loads of money from this device, this OS, and millions of iPhone users really want this phone. So yes, it kind of is a big thing.

I think what Hoteluser is trying to say is that your having an irrational hatred for apple because it has brought nothing new to the table. I dont belive the iPhone 4s is trying to it's an improvement on the iPhone 4 hence improved not new features.

And if you hate everything that isn't brand new, then you're going to hate alot of companies as all companies use recycled ideas with slight changes. For example PS3's move is a blatant copy of the Wii motion controller but you can't blame them for improving their product to appeal and compete with other franchises who are tapping the market.

Thankfully I haven't got the time to read David's posts because I'm sure they would have wondful points I would like to reply to!

But from what I have seen I'm unimpressed with the iPhone 4S, I thought it was going to be much bigger and hopefully the iPhone 5 or whatever it will be called will be a much bigger improvement. I know it will sell loads because they always do but I'm not urging to switch platform for it yet.
