I don't even know what to say. The fact the girl got run over, even though the van didn't look as if it was going fast, then noone did anything afterwards. it just makes me kind of mad.

i have no desire to watch a video of a child being killed, i think it shouldn't even be on the internet though it highlights a vile case of neglect. is it not china where girls are left on the street in favour for sons? i understand what the video is trying to highlight by being around but i don't think i will ever watch it.

Indeed, sons are favoured in China and females are seen as second-rate. I read a couple of articles regarding "The Dying Rooms of China" last year in Sociology and it's simply horrific: somewhat similar to an institution in Romania. There's just so many children who are left.... to die..

They're strapped to chairs with a potty below and a surface in front. Others are tied to beds and develop a rocking motion. Some have their fingers and toes eaten by rats. Screams pierce the hallways. Rows and rows of cots fill the dozens of rooms. China's one-child policy is just immoral from my perspective; yes it's an attempt at controlling the population but nobody deserves to go through the sheer pain of their child's death brought upon them by the authorities.

This video has just left me speechless and I can't really describe the pain of watching it. I remember studies I looked at in Psychology where a mock fight would take place on a bus between two people. Nobody on the bus had the guts to get involved and split it up. Society has developed in this way. We don't want to be held accountable for anything. We don't want to get involved. I don't want to think about what I'd do in this situation because I sincerely hope I never come across it.

My Dad was saying how there has been an incident similar to this in China, in the past. Apparently, people stopped to help but one of them was held responsible for the death and was blamed for it. I assume that this is somewhat related and those citizens don't want to be associated with it out of fear of being blamed.

I find it funny how you're allowed to post a video of a little girl getting run over but not of a music video with multiple swearing in it...

That has got to be one of the worst video's I've ever watched in my entire life, it's completely horrendous.

It makes me sick how the driver continued to drive over her for the second time like nothing happened, who in the right frame of mind would be able to run over a young child and carry on without even thinking of checking up on her? people like that are ****** up.

Quite an interesting read. Unfortunately we live in a world where a blame culture is ripe. Interesting and disappointing that China have it, and fear kinship incase they get the blame for helping out their fellow humans. You get it in the UK, for example you can't ask someone how they are after an accident incase they say they're in great pain because it's the assumption you meant to do it or are not in any pain yourself therefore you are to blame.

If she's an inexperienced mother, surely she'd be more protective over her baby? Don't get me wrong, I do think it is partly the driver's fault but you can't blame it all on him.

No need to get sexist... Enlighten me, how does an inexperienced mother think? I've just had a baby so I'll let it slide to the back of my mind. It wasn't the passers by fault that the baby was run over, yes they should have helped but ultimately it's the mother's fault for not paying attention and protecting her baby. This is a one-off story, it's not everyday inexperienced mothers lose their baby.
