Excellent question and one I've had to think about. As much as I hate her and can't stand her, I guess Gaga is a fantastic live performer, I think the fact that she's a pianist just adds to this image of her really, not to mention that her voice is incredible. I don't have much to say on this as you can tell P), however I just think as a live performer she's terrific as she engages the audience so well.
I have plenty of performers who are great live too, but as a couple of these have been mentioned already (Muse ove and this is a thread about the best live performer, I will just leave it at that.

Well, 11 years. And it was a bloody good performance. If I ever go to a concert, she's bumped to 3rd on my list, used to be 7th before
After Mariah Carey and Charice ofc, then Beyoncé.
Adele can be rather boring, but if you get a slightly more emotional song, it's really quite interesting. My friend went to go see her a few months back or something, she loved it.

people know me because of that shower thing one time and I do not regret anything

upon further review I feel a rather mild regret is warranted

Lol yeah it was good but the best performance of the past 11 years ... urm

And yeah I guess it is down to opinion with Adele. I would get so bored of standing there listening to her sing ballads about ex-boyfriends for an hour and a half, but that's just me. I don't think anyone could argue that she's a very exciting person to watch live though, she's just got a good voice, and that makes her performances very limited and samey, there's no kind of "what will she do next" about her, because she's just going to be standing in front of a microphone singing nicely, lols. But I guess that's just what some people want

It's funny, a lot of people I know can't stand Gaga either but hate to admit her capabilities as a live performer, especially after they were forced to watch her at Radio 1's Big Weekend whilst waiting for Family Guy (H)

not too sure about pop cos i've never seen any
You're trolling right? I've seem BMTH twice and both times they've sucked so bad. Oli's vocals are god awful live.

The best live bands I've ever seen are probably You Me At Six, Lower Than Atlantis or The Ghost Inside. I've seen them all multiple times and each time they've just gotten better and better

The best performance I've ever seen has been Sufjan Stevens.

Simply incredible, the costumes, the graphics, the songs, the most fun I've ever had at a concert. AGH!!! BALLOONS. I LOVE BALLOONS. The Age of Adz is one of my favourite albums ever.

PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. CLICK THIS LINK HERE for all the photos of his London show.

Impossible Soul is 25 minutes long (this video is 9 minutes) so skip to about 1:30 for the BALLOONS. BAAALLLLLOOOOOONS!

foals were good the first time i saw them when there was like an audience of 12 but couldn't fill an arena when i saw them supporting bloc party.

that's the thing, some bands/artists are better suited to small venues whereas some are more effective in sold out arenas/stadiums

i think it depends on your own personal taste and the genre of music really
