    Default Media work!!

Hiya, I've been given some coursework in media where I have to create a magazine and film cover.

I think I'm going to do a music magazine but I'm really stuck on what to do for the film cover.
For a practise I did the Smurf movie, and got a pretty good level for it considering I've never really used photoshop before.

Does anyone have any good ideas as to what I can do for the film poster. (I'm hoping for something a little more grown up than the smurf movie btw, haha)
Please remember I have to go out and take these pictures myself, so don't suggest anything too complexed.

I'll +rep any good ideas, thanks.

Well do you have to do it to a specific genre? As me and a friend both did a horro film trailer therefore, had to do a horror movie poster (well I did 3 but still)

The horror genre is the most simple to do according to form as there are many connotations to horror.

I only got a D but we hadn't enough time (for the movie trailer) as we got given the wrong camera charger.

Also, this year I am doing a food magazine and have to find the images myself (positives of your boyfriend being a Chef) and I feel you need to do something you personally know you can get a lot of pictures for!

I haven't been given a specific genre, I was thinking horror and everything but idk I always seem to prefer light hearted things and I think horror might push me a little with my very limited photoshop skills. I don't think taking the photos would be too hard really as I could go to most places if I really wished to get a good photo for some work.

I'm doing a music magazine and kind of wanted to show that I could do more complexed things rather than the easier types. I'm just really quite stumped on ideas for this, I was thinking I could so something about sharks (as I have my own photo with a big ass scary one) but it probably would look really fake and crap lmfao so that kind of screwed up that idea.

I really don't want to have to do something childish again, although they usually seem to come out better than most of the others in my class as all the childish types got higher grades. Hmm omg so stuck.

    i loved media.

horror is a good one because you can get some good free horror fonts/graphics online (my ex boyfriend makes b-movies) and as long as you get a couple of pictures landscape looked dark hahaa it'll fit in.

another good one that my friend made was a film about models and she used a headshot for the cover with one side of the models face all made up and the other side look like she'd been attacked. was really simple to do (don't need photoshop at all really, can do it with makeup) and was super effective. she got an a* i believe.
