ight so i went through the other thread and here is what I make the poll should be if you actually take into account what people have voted for.

    help for heroes
    water
    cancer research
    macmillan
    nspcc
    childline
    kidscape
    makeawish
    shelter
    dyspraxia foundation
    barnados
    plan-uk.org/sponsorachild
    aware-ni
    riders for health
    yorkhill
    mind
    unicef
    scope
    marie curie
    wspca
    rspca
    british film institute
    childrens heart foundation

right so you chose the 15 out of them, and rather than choose a charity that at least 30% of that thread were supporting you've added choices that ONE person chose "riders for health" i am sure they are very worthy causes but i think this is a complete and utter farce. and there was also the point that habbox was one of the only fansites that didn't make that much of a fuss over the loss of one of it's members to suicide, and mind deals with teen suicide.

(just gonna tag people who supported mind so they can help push this [@]@FlyingJesus[/@] [@]@Rozi[/@] [@]@Chippiewill[/@] [@]@GommeInc[/@] [@]@Stephen![/@]; [@]@Kyle[/@] [@]@Lawrawrr)[/@]

I've voted for them all because I don't think it's appropriate for me to support one over the other when I don't know enough about them. I'm not a large supporter of major charities and would have preferred not to vote, but I couldn't put up with the annoying poll at the top of my index any longer.

I have contacted each and every charity for the last 2 years so we can get a fund raising pack and it also allows us to offset some taxes if given the right documents.

The fund raising pack is usually things that I can use to further boost donations outside of Habbox for example for last years MAWF fundraising pack they sent me 150 wish pins, vectored graphics, trademark information, POS displays (for the pins) and tax forms. This allowed me to boost the donation by £150 as I managed to sell all the pins over about 7 days in my town centre.

MIND haven't even contacted me back after several attempts to contact them via different methods, so I cut them as I wasn't prepared to have to pay taxes on the extra revenue we receive during Christmas for raising money for a charity that don't bother to contact me or even return a phone call.

Other charities were cut due to a lack of community interest or because they were a bit pants.

This is totally justified imo, I'm for the charity as an idea but if they don't care enough about donations to return a phone call then clearly they're not that desperate.

This also really shows how much work Jin puts into this charitable effort each year.

thank you for clearing this up, would've been easier if it could've perhaps been put in the first post to clear up confusion. and make it feel like the community as a large hadn't been ignored.

have voted for shelter as i've worked with them before.

Don't see why GOSH etc. are always on the list, they get enough money. Places like Cancer Research spend ya money on pens and badges.

Why didn't MIND get chosen? I think Bethie suggested that, it was really popular.

    Once again, a stupid vote.

Okay blame this mobile skin for my above reply about MIND as my pages don't work, the first paragraph still stands however.
