Bukkit Server Problems

Yeah, my server it won't let people join it, they have hamachi but when they try to connect it comes up on my log [ip] Lost Connection.

Help?

The first thing that springs to mind is updating your server to Minecraft 1.0.1, jeb_ released an update to the server that can fix a lot of connection troubles that users have been running into. Just download minecraft_server.jar from the same place you usually would and drop it in the directory with the rest of your Bukkit server stuff.

Have you really tried to use port forwarding in place of Hamachi? Hamachi is old technology and unreliable even at the best of times. Portforward.com has a lot of guides for a huge range of routers, and I honestly suggest you at least give it a shot.If you're unable to, make sure everyone's got the right authentication details for Hamachi, but I unfortunately can't help you there...

In addition, are you sure that the server's IP and port number are correct?
You can obtain your system's IP by using this tutorial(Windows and Linux) or this tutorial (Mac).
You can find out what port you've set in the server's "server.properties" file. It should be in with the rest of your Bukkit server files. Also, check that "online-mode" is set to "true".

I'm sorry if this comes across as condescending, but it's hard to offer support as the description of your problem was very vague. I hope I've been of some help

I'm guessing that because he's using hamachi it'll be off his computer at home?

1. Why are you using Hamachi
2. Update to 1.0.1
3. Bukkit isn't officially compatible with 1.0, and as such neither are most plugins, IMO this is probably the problem.
