    Default First Computer Build

It's going to be mostly for video games and video rendering. How's this build? I want to try stay in the £800 budget baring in mind I'll still have a monitor to purchase so it'll easily come to £1000 but is there anything I should change or re consider?

Change the Core i7 for a Core i5-2500k, you'll save about £100 there with little performance difference.

If you can, I'd reuse your current HDD until prices go down, £91 for 1TB isridiculous, I paid £35 for mine.

    Where's your OS?

I'm not sure on the graphics card, someone else might want to input on that, I've been out of the loop for a couple of months now.

For the processor I was considering the i5 but then the i7 will produce faster video renders apparently

I'll try find bargains for a HDD, thanks!

I didn't add an OS cause I've got some discs lying around the house

I done a bit of research, apparently that's a very good graphics card. I'm not sure if there's any on the market better, if there is somebody let me know, I wanna max out my games so that GTA V will look epic.

For such a small performance increase, it's not at all worth it for £100. You could easily overclock the i5-2500k to 4.5GHz+

Haha even if it saves a few minutes of my life per video rendered I'd say it's worth it

It'll save seconds, you'll only see lower times when you're rending feature length movies on a daily basis.

If you plan on overclocking add an aftermarket cooler

How many monitors do you plan on getting, if you want to play on high resolution get a 2GB+ card,

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/306?vs=293 can use that to compare different gfx cards, processors, etc.

And as said above, try to salvage an old HDD and you can stick in a SSD for boot drive
