It's glass it doesn't pick-up dirt, I've had the white iPhone 4S since release and I don't have a case or make any real effort to look after it and it's not dirty or chipped etc and I doubted it ever will be

I like white as it's much less common than the black so a bit different (being indie and all that!). Bare in mind the black iPhone 4 was out for a year before they released a white.

The thing is, the white looks a bit different. If you really care about people noticing that you've got a new iPhone, go for a white one as not many bought the white iPhone 4 AFAIK.

I have a white iPod touch, and I do prefer it to my old black one.
