It is the point, it been mentioned dozens of times that it's not allowed because it insults people. Also, have you even seen what young teens care about, or is this some wild assumption?

You're forgetting this is about the abbreviation 'FU'. There is already a better rule in place to cover actual swearing. It's FU at the end of the day, members aren't actually telling others to 'French Connection United Kingdom' you

I've seen more mature logic coming from reddit, where FU appears in whimsical comics reflecting on the norms and drama of the internet. These young teens must be easily offended.

No but as an official fansite it is habbox's job to set a good example to its members.

Nonetheless its an abbreviation for a filtered word, and as I said above it is habbox's job to set an example.

Official sites mean sod all these days.
Most abbreviations contain some sort of swear word - the fact of the matter is they are not offensive, and never have been and should only be acted on when it's actually being used in an offensive matter. The use in the spam forum was completely harmless. Did you get any reports from members actually upset by the use of the word? I mean actual reports, not ones where some boring member loves reporting non-rule breaks.

Please highlight where I was quoting and being abusive to any other member, no ones 'fu' was aimed at anyone, people were joining in because of how ridiculous it was in the first place that my post got edited and if someone was being abusive its covered by the respect other members and do not be rude rule

"Mildly inappropriate content" does not stretch to abusing other members

I'm getting a bit tired of going round in circles when we have given our reasons. Scott has said that nothing is going to change in regards to the rules and we stand by our actions, so its a waste of time to continue this debate as it comes down to moderators discretion in the end anyway.

    Ah democracy!
It seems you've replaced hoteluser since his departure, its a bit odd that Scott makes the final decision, shouldn't that be the general managers job?

Well technically the Forum Management team deal with the forum and if they wish to change rules then they can do so as the majority of the time I don't have an issue with the changes they wish to do. Now in terms of this rule, Scott has said no changes need to be made and no changes will be made because they don't need to be made. The rules about using such words on the forum is fine.

I have no say over what changes and what doesn't, so no I haven't replaced anyone. If Scott has said no then I don't think anyone has any need to interfere with that decision, unless its vitally important and needs to be changed immediately. Sure you can argue your point but I doubt it will get you very far (Trust me Ive tried and failed many times!).

Meh, if you want to further reduce the activity throughout Habbox further then so be it. If you don't keep up with the times you get left behind, which has been happening with Habbox for years now. Also, if you can't take the heat get out of the fire, it's not offensive to use FU and it certainly was not in the context it was used. You've not answered this and have taken the "we're not changing it so there" route.

It wasn't rude or offensive, so whoever deals with infractions/warnings should remove The Don's one. Using the rules for the sake of using the rules is stupid and makes you look robotic.

Because we won't allow people to swear on the forum? We aren't going to allow it. FU = **** you and if users are going to use it against people then that's breaking the rules and I'm sure you don't want to be told to **** off now - It doesn't matter if you don't find it offensive.

In terms of the image The Don used, it's allowed in normal circumstances and doesn't break the rules when using it normally. Although I'm sure he has already but he can use the report the infraction and see what Scott/Brandon/One of the Super Moderator feels about it.
