I'd say Bedouin Soundclash's albums, Sigur Ross's, Eagles (defo Hotel California), a couple of tom waits albums, Panic At The Disco's first album - a fever you can't sweat out, Some Cure Albums, The Hives.

Oh and John Legend and the Roots Wake Up album is great (not my usual type). Dan Le Sacs Vs Scroobius Pips stuff is beautiful to.

My library is far to huge for me to go through this late at night but I consider these three women to be an essential British pop trio of artists. These six albums get frequent play from me and I thought I'd post them because this forum started in the United Kingdom.

    Lily Allen
    Alright, Still
    It's Not Me, It's You

    Amy Winehouse
    Frank
    Back To Black

    Kate Nash
    Made Of Bricks

Mariah Carey - Butterfly, Merry Christmas, Mariah Carey and Merry Christmas II You
    Charice - Charice and Infinity

I really liked that the first album was quite experimental. You had a bit of dance, a bit of rock, a bit of jazz. I found with the second album while there was a couple I liked like Nine in The Afternoon and We're So Hungry, a lot seemed to be too similar and they lost their touch for me. A lot apparently hate their 3rd album (I know one of the band members left). I'd have to listen as I haven't really heard any of their latest stuff.

However maybe its partly due to the fact when I started listening to panic they weren't popular at all. I kept looking in stores for their album and couldn't find it and now it's something easy to get.

while i pretend not to be elitist and not hate bands when they get popular, i feel panic definitely changed for the worse with fame. i mean, the fact that the band is now only 2 of the original members kinda reflects the change they've had. didn't really like anything from the second album, felt it was far more toned down (and they tried to theatre it up, a bit). just slow and boring. haven't checked the third album cause i was so disappointed by the second i didn't wanna go there again.

that first album shaped a lot of my teenage years and it's so sad i can't enjoy more of their music.

Thank you! Those are stunning albums, I agree. It makes me sad that Amy is gone. Everyone should listen to her posthumous album 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures'. It has some great tracks on it as well.

They where also part of fall out boy's label and I felt some of their newer stuff sounded too similar to them at times - some didn't though.

It's interesting because some bands don't change but it works, some it doesn't and then some change and it goes to pot. Not many Linkin Park fans liked their new stuff and I remember when i wasn't much of a coldplay fan as I found a lot of stuff too similar (prefer them more now). AC/DC and The Hives are two bands I love that always seem to stick to the same styles (although the hives last album had some different stuff in it).
