Why not? It's also easier for management to find the users. It's a lot easier to find people by their Habbo name.

I don't think any department should make it mandatory to have your habbo name as your forum name, it's very off putting. It would be as silly as Jess or Bethie saying 'here lads your dj names are going to be your habbo names from now on to make it easier for listeners to find you'. Fair enough something like that would make sense but I'm assuming it isn't a rule because it's not very fair on the djs, which is why it should be the same with the forum.

I'm pretty sure when new staff come along they get told about the name rule and then the name changes are easily done. It's not silly when it's been happening for so long and it works just fine. DJ's require to be on Habbo so it makes sense for their Habbo names to be their forum names like any other Habbo based department.

But it isn't a community department. Just because they are departments that involve habbo does not mean the staff need to have their names changed to their habbo names. Help desk staff do not need to be contacted nearly as often as the other staff if at all so it isn't needed like djs/events staff are really

Lists that need to be updated each time when staff come and go. It's easier for normal members, for staff and for management to have it as their forum name. At the end of the day, it isn't a problem. If they don't like their Habbo name then they should make a new one. It's quite simple and it's not something that needs changing.

I know the helpdesk is a community department but the only reasons you are givingg at the moment seem to be that it is convenient for the managers for PMing. Surely they should know who their staff are anyways or at least have a list for themselves. I agree with richie also that DJs shouldn't have to have their forum names changed either as they don't post on the forums as a DJ???

I think it would be more confusing for people on the forum if say for example I changed my forum name to Yet, they'd be like who the hell is that. I think 'because its been like that for so long' and 'people need to find djs on the forum' are very poor excuses.

you can't just say if they don't like their habbo name they should make a new one... i don't like mine but i don't make a new one cos of my badges etc n it's hassle

It's not changing, I'll use a quote that used to be said: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". This is seriously not something that needs changing. Habbo based departments will continue to require staff members to have their forum username as their Habbo name. Other parts of Habbox may need changes but this is not one of them.

I agree with staff in community depts having their forum name matching simply because it makes life 10x easier for people. It's annoying enough when you hear people talking about "DJ Turkey" and you have no flipping idea who you should PM to advertise your event. I do think RV should be exempt from the rule because they're more site based as undercover Habbo-trading agents rather than people who actually interact, but yeah, the others are perfectly fine.

before i managed to get the bethie habbo i hated being publicised but kinda took it cause i knew i had to really. rvr's i don't understand it for because they don't have a public role, hxhd i sorta don't either because there isn't much hxhd presence on the forum or out of habbo. it's not like hxhd has a forum surgery OMG THATS A GOOD IDEA. anyway.
