I don't think it will be a good idea, like others have said it will slow down the forum. If we had more users it might work.

one would hope forum management (being the sensible people that i know scott + brandon are) saw how much of a disaster it was and just laid the idea to rest. or left it for the mods to use.

Two words: Power complex Give it time and they give in, it took them about 4 years to finallly allow all abbreviations unless they are directed at someone to insult them.
