    new direct bolton update:

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been admitted to the Heart Attack Centre at the London Chest Hospital where he is currently in a critically ill condition in intensive care.

No further information will be issued at this stage.

Hope he pulls through, shows that being stable can change in a matter of moments, I don't support Everton myself but as Stephen said no one should die/seriously be injured doing something they love. When me and my dad were taking my boyfriend home we had it on the radio and people were phoning in saying their 8 year old son died from it and someone else said their brother died from it. One of them posed a good point as to why they don't have regular check ups for this sort of thing as it may not be noticable at first instant and may uncover when ageing. Again hope time is a healer and that he returns to a stable condition!

Got to say the paramedics and medical staff did a great job with rapid response and quick actions such as CPR and defib on the pitch. Must off been horrific to see your teammate get defibbed there and then.

Agreed, would be very traumatizing, heck even for fans. We take life for granted, and this was a real eye opener today.

    Bolton*

Anyway its almost lucky that he's a footballer and it happened then. In how many places can you receive such good treatment absolutely instantly? It was that instant medical treatment that may have saved his life too.

Goodness, I feel sorry for him and everyone watching the show at the time. Watching a man nearly die is one of the most traumatising things someone could witness o.e. Really hope he pulls through x.x But yes, as a few people have mentioned, he was incredibly lucky to receive medical help that fast.

Completely unexpected! Such a horrible thing to happen hope he recover well. They're all saying the next 24 hour are critical for his survival For a fit and healthy athlete this is quite unusual.
