WHAT. am i losing the plot or is a metaphor about eating chicken being the same as betting on a horse than dies completely related to this thread.
LOL, As it happens I do ride horses. I have done for 14 years. You can force a horse to jump with the use of a whip because a horse trusts you. Therefore it sees you as the 'leader'. Im not saying ban it am I? Your the one that is bringing 'banning' it into the mix. Im merely saying they don't always enjoy doing it but they do it because they are a herd animal. They don't wanna be left behind in the field, horses stick together in herds. Once the jockey is removed, 9 times out of 10 they continue because a horse on its own in the wild is unsafe. Btw, a broken leg can be attempted to be fixed. It'll just take a long long time and might have complications such as an abscess and in some cases, laminitis.Have you ever ridden a horse?
if a horse didn't want to jump you wouldn't be able to get it to jump, simple as.
if you're going to ban horse racing why don 't you ban fishing at the same time?
and horse riding in general for that matter, any type of horse riding can result in injury.
Oh and football? there's been quite a few cardiac arrests recently hasn't there, why don't we jut ban that as well?
how about Crufts? the dogs clearly hate that, ban it. they could fall over and hurt themselves.
and the olympics maybe? because someone might get hurt.
ANYTHING ELSE THAT ANYONE WISHES TO BAN BECAUSE IT HAS A RISK?
in the long run, trying to fix the leg can be crueller to the horse in the long run.LOL, As it happens I do ride horses. I have done for 14 years. and no, just because you whip a horse does not mean that they horse is going to go it.
and even if the horse was running because it wanted to stay in a herd, it wouldn't bother to jump all of the jumps.
