Default Habbo Turkey - Coming soon?

Well if you don't keep up with this stuff you probably won't know but it was mentioned and leaked that a "New" hotel would be coming sometime soon. It seems according to Sulakes jobs page that it will be in fact a Turkish Hotel!

    Job:

Habbo Turkey User Care Agent (Madrid, Spain) - http://www.sulake.com/careers/?id=287

    Twitter:

So a Turkish hotel? Or not...

Hmm, it seems a little weird that it would only be opening and set up now. I'm not sure how many people they'd get on (as maybe if Turkish people had played before they would be used to the other hotels) but who knows, it could get popular.

I'm confused, they merged a **** load of hotels now want to open another one? how does that make sense? work on the main hotel as their support is clearly shocking and there hasn't been major graphic updates in a while.

Only the English speaking countries/hotels got merged - Opening another Hotel in another language makes sense if there is a market for it

In terms of "Major Graphic Update" - They have a new UI in the works.

Before the merge didn't sulake say they were meging all hotels and adding some sort of script which translates, something like the google app. That'd be pretty cool. Plus they would just have to focus on one hotel.

That was a rumour made by Habbos, Sulake have never officially stated that and it would just be so horrible.

They merged because the English speaking hotels individually were doing terribly, all of the non-uk hotels had regular curfews and it didn't really make sense to keep them separate.

They didn't need to merge ALL of the hotels as it wouldn't be of benefit.

Were they really doing terribly though, seems a baseless statement seeing as they've never released stats relating to the finances of the individual hotels. Singapore (and perhaps Australia) did have curfews but most the English speaking hotels were getting relatively high user figures, certainly higher than the likes of Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland etc. It's most likely they were merged to reduce costs and be more efficient (Easier and cheaper to run hotel as they can lay off staff for instance)

It is surprising though, the last two Habbo's which were opened were Russia and China in 2006 and both of them closed within years. Since then the English hotels have been merged, the Swiss hotel merged into the Germany hotel and the Japanese hotel has closed so an opening is quite surprising.

Edit: For the life of me I can't work out the domain for this new Turkish hotel. Naturally you'd think it would be www.habbo.tr but that doesn't exist as the Turkish use domains like the UK (for instance you can't get www.habbo.uk, they like to include a bit more, www.habbo.co.uk).

    The common domain in Turkey is www.habbo.com.tr but it is available to register as are all variants of the domain;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.tr

Could well be a lot of money in buying www.habbo.com.tr and selling it them!

They will probably take you to court instead of buying it of the person!

If people are interested on what it's like at the moment for Hotels:

I have come across many Turkish people on the .com hotel so I'm only slightly surprised that they are opening another hotel. I didn't expect them to open another after all the job cuts and office closures recently, but hey, I'm pretty sure the Turkish will be happy if a hotel does open for them lol.

Besides, it'll most likely have opening + closing times like other hotels such as... the Swedish hotel.
