Minus Repping

I think the -rep system is abused often. I get -repped on a daily basis for no reason. The reason stated is usually something like 'shut your stupid mouth' (this -rep reason was given by a forum moderator) etc. When I reported all my pointless -rep, nothing was actually done as far as I'm aware.

This is probably a mad idea, but maybe its possible to get a new small dept or something, or more forum moderators, and all -rep is checked before the user actually receives it?

Seeing as more and more people are resigning from Habbox as it is, I doubt that Habbox could get enough people to open a whole new department! Plus, just checking -reps is far too small a job for one dept to do.. It would only need one or two people doing it and, anyway, having every -/+ rep checked before it being given would take forever

A very minimal amount of reps given will be considered 'abusing the system'.

Yes cerys legend competely agree with that -rep should be checked before given, not sure if a depart is needed though, just maybe some unbiased person to do it. + ikr -rep is never really removed.

pretty sure all your -reps are probably legit.

removing the -rep would mean having to also remove the +rep. reputation is given (and taken) for quality of posts and if somebody has a problem with your post then they have every right to -rep you. people who get -reps removed are lame imo

Valid -rep is fine but no one can deny that there are certain individuals who do abuse it. *Removed* (Y) They shouldn't be allowed to do it.

Using me as an example though, how does that apply to me as first poster .... not like i can tell that everyones gonna copy what i'm said and i'm gonna get -repd for it.

The majority of the rep has a purpose, it wouldn't be issued to you otherwise, just because you don't understand the one you received doesn't mean it's not pointless because the person that made it obviously has something wrong with the post you made.

You could continue reporting the reputation, or actually PM scott and brandon and see if you get a better response there.

But some people do get targeted and -repped all the time totally pointlessly, and getting it removed it only temporary seeing as more will be on its way very soon?
