There does seem to be a lack of comedy in it. It is funny and entertaining but there are holes. Maybe I need to stop comparing the two series though.

Just watched 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'. I'd actually never watched it before and it was on Netflix so I thought why not. I watched the dubbed version which surprisingly very good. Just one question though, at the end when this happens:

As Chiaki leaves, he tells Makoto he will be waiting for her in the future to which Makoto responds that she will run towards him.

Does that mean they meet up sometime in the future of Makato's lifetime?

Ugh, absolutely hated the dub for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It was dreadful. Do yourself a favour and watch it again in Japanese. And I think the ending is left intentionally ambiguous to be honest.

Why do you hate the dub? I've watched a lot of dubs and I think it's pretty watchable.

Watch it in Japanese then you'll understand why. Absolutely fantastic voice acting, especially from Riisa Naka.
