    Exclamation Habbo 'Retros' Should they?

I'm aware what the obvious answer will be to this question, as I'm posting it on a Habbo Fansite. However, I believe they have spoiled and destroyed what Habbo used to be. When I played Habbo - around 4 years back - It had LOADS of people on-line at a time and consisted of a very large dedicated community, where everyone was equal. Now I visit Habbo and see the users have dropped tremendously and it's disappointing.

It's also disappointing to know that there are SO many 'Retros' out there that are taking users and making them there own, It's also disappointing how 'Retros' are copyright of Habbo Imaging and they're getting away with it all and making money off the side.

In my honest and truthful opinion, I feel that if 'Retros' were to be shut down and KEPT shut for the remaining time of Habbo, the users would increase rapidly. I understand that shutting down over 200 'Retros' would take time, effort and a lot of money and I feel it's a lot of effort. But, If Habbo wants to be as great as it was and mainatain the best, action should be taken!

PLEASE comment if your support below, if you disagree for any reason at all, please specify your reasons!

Habbos go to Retros because it's cheaper and you get more out of it. You can build stuff you could never build on the original hotels and you can socialise with people a lot easier and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere instead of if you say **** a moderator mutes you for 10 minutes.

The trouble, effort, time and money to shut down every retro would be silly, pointless and will have no effect. Some retros have thousands on players on 24/7 because they obviously can provide what Habbo can't. A better community, cheaper stuff and so on.

I'm not bothered by retros, yeah it may be destroying Habbo but only because Habbo made it ridiculously expensive that they bought it on themselves.

Every idea has its time, and Habbos seems to be running out.

Paul commented on retros a few weeks ago saying he wasn't really fussed by them because apparently compared to Habbo's user base Retros only had a tiny percentage.

I've never used retros, but from my understanding they have created a Habbo experience which Habbo themselves failed to do post Version 6 era. If Habbo is suffering at the moment, they need not blame retros, they should take a look in the mirror and understand where they are going wrong. They hire apes for moderators, no-one really knows who is in charge anymore, they capitalise on anything they can think of and the lack of events, personality and approachability ultimately have killed the franchise. Bring back the Jibbi, ione, Dionysus people

i think the main reason not that many people go on habbo is because it turned into a **** site with pointless updates that no one really likes
i only use retros to see what a room would look like if i was to build it on habbo am i even allowed to say that idc

Retros have had little to effect on the popularity of the main hotels. There are still a large number of players online at any given time worldwide compared to that of retros which is probably <1% of that.

I know a lot of people who will occasionally use a retro hotel if they want to see new furni or make a room simple because they don't want to waste so much money on the real hotel, it's not a crime. If people want to go on a hotel and own a bunch of furni then that's fine by me as it doesn't really detract from my own experience at all.

To be honest with you, I think they are good and bad. It is bad for the obvious reasons such as 'making the hotel lag more' according to Habbo and making the userbase go down a small percentage but in my eyes, they are doing Habbo a favour. Sulake should be finding out what is driving all of the users to the hotels despite the free credits and furniture. What 'unique' features do they include which Habbo doesn't include? They should do more research in to the hotels themselves and something is making them use the hotels. They all offer free credits and furniture, I know but that doesn't explain the fact that one retro has 1 user online at a time and another has 1000. If they find that the really popular retro hotels host loads of events making everyone use it then Habbo should host more hotel events. If it is the ROTW competitions, they should make more of them. It is easy Existing Products research Sulake need to sort out.

If people wanna go on retros they can, sulake shouldnt give a **** imo.
