Thanks! Yeah I wrote it, logged on to find out what all the fuss was about and was muted so took my frustration out on tumblr lol. Figured I'd post it here, Habbox news site was the only fansite I remembered, I'm interested in what other people think, I might be a little bias...

These people that are purposefully looking for children have throw away accounts. They're not regular players of Habbo that have rooms or masses of furniture. Once their account gets banned, they'll just create another one. The cycle will just continue. They somehow need to come up with a better solution of just banning these accounts, as it's obviously not working.

Gotta hand it to you, that's a damn good metaphor.

I'm not a fan of this guy's attitude.

I haven't received any invites since I've been online so I'm guessing they've blocked those from coming through too!

I dont understand why they cant just mute people that havent been a member of the community for over a year... the ones that do the secksual *REMOVED* are usually on accounts under 1 year old.

Off topic: Kardan aren't you the guy that did that LovePanda thing?

It's sad that a big news report has to draw attention to the discusting behaviour of a few members of Habbo, for Sulake to take "action" against them. They should have had this sorted long ago, but they were too busy releasing vibrating furniture.

In the news report it states that children as young as 8 are playing Habbo, then this is a parental issue.

"1.4 You must be 13 years or older to use the Website. By registering for the Website, you represent and warrant that you are 13 or older and that you understand, agree to and comply with these Specific Terms."

Sure the moderation could be better, but it clearly states you have to be 13 or older, probably why they changed the story from an 11 year old to a 13 year old.
