That just proves my point. Was he put on the sex offenders list? I'm honestly surprised he didn't get years in prison because even with that excuse it's still illegal. But now we see how innocent people can be hurt by the laws made to protect them.

I think this may be a bad idea. I agree swearing is a bad idea but it happens. My problem is by hiding it from teens does it actually help them? You should educate people about it and the problems of it, but don't just hide it from them completely they'll find out.

Hey i'm over 18! I'm not saying that it's right to accuse anyone, but I was talking to a 20 year old yesterday, I was wary of him and after a while he ended up asking for naked pictures. I know I'm technically an adult, but he could have contacted me when I was still a younger teenager.
This is a bad stance. People need to be shown the dangers of online chat, and know that you don't know who's who but actually claiming your a pedo if your over a certain age is quite dangerous.

As I've said in a number of posts - if parents are going to let their children online they should talk to them about the risks. Maybe there needs to be more information available and some actual teaching for parents, so they can identify problems that their children might get into

Not sure if someone has posted this - but here's the link to the news report on Channel 4. Not sure if it's viewable outside the UK.

They are digging themselves a big hole. When everyone is un muted, all hell will break loose. That is, if anyone is still playing by then.

Do you think Habbo will close down and how long will it be until everyone is un-muted?

I have no idea, I don't know the guy. Is it fair he should be on it though, even thought the girl lied about her age?

They're going to find out, but if a site is aimed at 13+ i don't think they should be allowing such a blatant display.

I agree with you? My stance is that people should be wary... Parents should. Schools should too, as I think children usually rebel against protective parents (I certainly did) but an objective educator have more of an impact.
