sorry lmao but i die reading the adult-written articles on this

The busiest rooms were named "sexy stripclub", "naughty nightclub", and so forth. Rooms which were full of rows of beds with cartoon children laying down ready for people to come and have sex with them, rooms which had "kissing booths" which shook while they were being used for cyber sex.
yes, channel four, children are interested in adult things. it's part of being young. you want the unknown. smoking, drinking, driving, sex. i'm sure if there was a place where kids could go simulate a night at the pub they would go get virtual wasted as well and then you could comment on that as well in your big exposé. have they not logged on to the internet in the past fifteen years or something? everything is sex, everywhere is sex. all of it. kids sites to adult sites to news sites to chat sites to game sites to business sites. there is sex everywhere. i'm pity the woman that wrote this that thinks the valentine's kissing booth that shakes is appalling or something. if kids aren't role-playing sex on habbo, they will somewhere else. perhaps in real life. i can't get over how stupid this is.

the pedophile thing is just a little teaspoon of crazy to add to the story to make people listen to it. there are pedophiles on habboxforum, on the channel four comments, in parliament, in primary schools and nurseries, on other sites like neopets and gaiaonline, in music and film, at your local tescos and if you are unlucky one of your child's teachers will be checking out your kid thinking out sex on a daily basis. this story is the equivalent of running pictorals of britney spears smoking and showing one of the pictures of her sons holding a cigarette and blaming her for youths adopting a smoking habit. it's tabloid, it's a news story dipped in yellow dye.

It's not about whether they're exposed to sex on other sites, they're specifically targeting Habbo because they are allowing it to happen with 13 year olds on the site, when it should not be.

Yeah Habbo is meant for children but I bet it's not the only site aimed for children that gets abused
It's because this report was strictly on Habbo, hence they only briefly mention other sites because they haven't done a report on them either. This report is showing off how bad Habbo really is underneath. Habbo is directed straight at children and underaged teens and is the regarded as the largest teen hangout, so all other sites like ClubPenguin are irrelevant for the time being as they do not have as many users AND Habbo has a history of poor management and moderation - two paedophiles in half a year is pretty bad. You're trying to defend Habbo by trying to bring in other examples when those examples could well be just as bad, but for the time being Habbo has been exposed as a badly run website.

Wait until Channel 4 discover where the moderators are from and why they do not operate on Habbo as effectively as they should be - the international community will go crazy, and it's all Sulake's fault.

I believe they're also aware that it happens to other sites. The Child Safety expert seems to know his stuff - a moderator should of come in during their exposure to Habbo, because on many other sites it's what is to be expected under EU guidelines. it wouldn't surprise me if a mod didn't come in because they simply do not have a system in place that puts words into context and alerts them.
