I'm glad I'm not the only one who though he was rude. It was like every time those two people went to say something about it not just being Habbo he interrupted them. I also found he was doing the same when they tried to say anything positive about the Hotel.

I know! They have received hundreds of comments in defence of the hotel as well and they didn't air any of those views. Made me so mad.

By harsh, I mean use an alphanumeric filter. Rather than just banning the word "sex", ban "S3X" and so on.

that isn't a new idea and has been on the internet for forever. they can ban every variation of the word sex but that doesn't ban any child from thinking about it. in fact, as i will get to, they are constantly bombarded with it in every source of media. ifif they can't find a way to type it as 'sex' or a variation thereof, they will find another way or another site. do you suggest we start using hypnosis and mind control to keep kids from thinking about or even lightly acting on it?

Who said anything about radio and television? I wish you would stop comparing this issue to other things, this is about Habbo and how it contains disgusting language and sexual acts, and the fact that it's "225 moderators" don't actually moderate.

uh, i did. where do you think youth get the concepts and ideas that they act out on habbo? their environment. like i have said many times in this thread and like has been said in this thread by others besides me, this has been around before habbo (because of mass media), in the early days of habbo (because of mass media) and now during channel four's super special report. i think that the moderation on habbo is inept and that palafo is useless as well but i don't think either is to blame for sexual things on habbo. i know neither are.

i actually hope than channel four starts caring for our precious children and keeping them from sex like they want habbo to do so strongly. i suggest they stop airing programmes like 'family guy' in timeslots easily accessible to thirteen year olds. how about embarrassing bodies, the show that gets people to go live on webcam and drop their clothing to talk about how they are sad that their breasts are small? kids watch that all of the time. what about glee? a thirteen year old high school student under the age of consent is shown on a bed with a 'bad boy' male over eighteen dressed only in tight underwear while she tells him how hot he is. that was just last month, actually. channel four's '**** week' was pretty interesting. i'm also interested in their special that showed long periods of full frontal male nudity and the presenter naked on camera while he stimulated his erect penis. i remember the skins controversy as well. we all know who the main demographic watching that show was. no need to even say it.

I never really agreed with Paul's vision for the hotel. I know me, @Rubbish; @Richie; @Kyle; etc have all tweeted him about poor moderation but he just ignored the feedback and deemed everyone who sent similar tweets as trolls. Skimping on moderation doesn't seem like such a good idea now.

There's a time and a place, you wouldn't send your child to a prison to do sex-ed and unfortunately Habbo isn't a safe place for kids to be dealing with those issues, there are people out there who will take advantage.

In fairness, I see nothing wrong with children having sex education in prison.

Hate to say it but rape nowadays along with many other gang related crimes has gone up due to immigration. And don't go branding me a racist like I suspect you plan on doing, as I know the majority of people who move to the UK are perfectly decent (more so than the natives..) people.

Furthermore, I am fully aware that UK citizens also take part in rape.

When referring to modern rape, I am not making reference to where a husband forces his wife to have sex - a relatively common occurrence in the past.

you can't, my sweet, and that is the essence of sex in our modern society. you never know who likes what, who wants to do what to you nor who is sexually criminal. this has nothing to do with habbo and everything to do with the human community. habbo is a tiny little scapegoat that i suppose makes an entertaining exposé. they aren't saving any children from anything with this, though. stop it on habbo and the kids will go elsewhere. changes need to be made a bit higher up than a chat community for kids based in finland that has been around for a lot shorter of a time than the sexualisation of children has.

that was a nationally run ad in america from forty years ago. no one batted an eyelid at it. that should answer your question.
