Only thing I'm pissed off at is the fact websites/games like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, World of Warcraft, Runescape, etc etc etc have these problems also and they've targeted 1 social website which will now most likely cost people their jobs and a great deal of money.

Well I received a minimal quite recently on the dangers of sharing your pictures? There are plenty of people I know who are forever getting banned for sexually explicitness and feel habbo can be quite tough regarding it. Like Kyle said there are worse sites than habbo. Tonight they also had experts from CEOP and UKIE. Did you listen to their views? Krishnan Guru-Murthy didn't even let them speak.... Said it all really.

They JUST sent that out this week after one of their Investors contacted them about this whole situation.

And now Habbos are sticking up for Paul when just last week they were making the same complaints, the same ones tehy've been making since the merge! I don't understand it one bit.

Two words: Blind loyalty.

tbh habbo are getting 90% of the blame for this when they should only really be getting 10% the rest should fall to the parents of children

Don't fall for the Habbo loyalists rhetoric! Although the parents should tell their children of these risks, the parents themselves do not really know of them either - parents were out of school for decades when these concerns became a reality. Quite a lot of blame is on Habbo for not providing a duty of care for their users. Legally speaking, they're the ones at fault because they're the ones offering a service directed at underaged teens and children, and not protecting them. Parents cannot be expected to look after children 24/7, and the argument that they should only really works when the child breaks the law and not a business that should be protecting them where the parents can not.
