    Default Habbo's Genius Plan

As we know the people who get involved in all this habbo-sex **** aren't proper habbo fans, they're just 11 year olds and stupid teenagers. They don't care if habbo closes, they'll just move onto another site to have their wicked way.

Sulake have picked up on that, by muting the hotel they're driving away all those who are vulnerable (who are probably making accounts on Club Penguin, IMVU or whatever as we speak) whilst keeping us true fans on more than ever.

This means when they un-mute the hotel they'll probably boast about how much safer they've made it with some sort of new moderation system, but what they've actually done is forced the e-sexters to other websites and they'll take the paedophiles with them.

If you're young, you can be easily manipulated into talking to strangers and them forcing feelings into you, which affects you in real life.

I feel in this day and age, theres enough educaton out there or just general knowledge of what people talk about that children think it is 'weird' to talk to those that flirt with you online in a more extreme way than kissing booths.

When I was younger, it was common sense not to give my phone number out, or email I used for Habbo, where I lived or any personal details about me. I suppose that was becase I was educated about it. I remember being told by a friend to always say P/P/P and we kind of made a joke out of it. (personal/personal/personal) as it often annoyed other users who asked, and we found this funny whilst at the same time keeping out details safe.

I don't think one program, which targeted Habbo for the bad side it has seen can bring it down. I didn't watch the program or news article or whatever it was, but I doubt they spoke about the positives in Habbo? Theres many positives and if you don't get involved in those who wish to obtain your personal information, we all know it's very fun. It depends where you go on Habbo really. You don't tend to find these 'paedophiles' in Arcades, or gaming rooms as they are too active for people to have big convosations. You usually find them in quieter rooms, or the welcome lounge as they will target new, young Habbo's.

I spend a lot of my time in the Welcome Lounge, as I'd like to help and report anyone who is asking for personal details because I think it's absolutely revolting that they could be some kind of paedophile. If the two people are genuine with each other, you keep it genuine but online - just to be safe.

A lot can be said on this subject, but it's too early for me. Maybe someone will have a reply to this and we can talk.
I have been playing Habbo since 2004 aswell and I agree with the statements you have said. The Habbo moderation team needs to change big time. The moderators were much better when we had actually had some English moderators / SG moderators who can actually speak fluent english. Since Becs left Habbo, the downfall started then with Sulake just caring about money. The merge; for example. Less hotels, less spending, more profit when the credit prices were raised.

The news report slated Habbo, basically saying that the whole of Habbo is full of paedophiles. Only a small range of the community has ruined our gaming experience.

I feel Habbo will not close.

Thank You. I totally agree. I felt in a much more relaxed, and safe environment back when I first joined Habbo and was younger. I saw my self as quite computer-savvy as knew a bit about my safety though. Habbo won't shut. Maybe they should pinpoint where the majority of the paedophiles are originating from and give them their own hotel, or kick them out. I'm not saying it's all going to be one place, obviously but I just feel one country might be more that way inclined that others, as a majority.

Looks good, surprised they haven't removed the Kissing Booth yet as all the news channels keep highlighting that furniture.

interesting take on it, however i don't think this was the reason they muted us personally.
