Holy mother of **** at Avatar today.
Anyway, 1 hour finale next week. Can't wait.
Here's the promo for it.

Holy mother of **** at Avatar today.
I don't even know where to start. This wasn't even the finale and SO MUCH HAPPENED. Tenzin was a complete badass, as was most of the group when fighting the mechs. Meelo's fartbending was way more hilarious than I thought it'd be, and the other kids are pretty badass. Asami's jealousy is making me pretty suspicious of her though, like she's gonna double cross them or something. Either way, I think her and mako's relationship seems kinda...immature. Yeah. Don't really like it.
The 2 absolute best bits of the episode however were at the end. Lin losing her bending gave me goosebumps, and the entire scene was so brilliantly done. The shot where she's saying "I won't tell you anything" was drawn so well, and the music fit perfectly when she fell to the ground. ******* loved it. Of course, it also made me super sad that she lost her bendingHopefully they figure out a way to get it back. And the second bit was zuko's grandson/son with his voice named mother****** Iroh! Hope he turns out to be a badass, and that we see some of the other children (aang's children and zuko's daughter).

Badass air bending by Tenzin, awesome Fart bending by Meelo and a new General Iroh a la Zuko's voice actor made the episode for me. He better play Pai Sho and drink tea. Hopefully we'll get some more flashbacks and therefore more Sokka and Aang next week.

Yeah i'm hoping for some of the old Gaang as well. Hopefully she'll talk to Aang like he did with Roku, would be pretty cool
Someone should go make an Avatar thread in the film tv bit probably be more people that watch it.
My friend is a big DB fan and say its the best series etc, where as i disagree and we normaly get into a DB vs OP debate. As shown in Gintama it follows a pattern bad guy, train, beat bad guy, bad guy becomes friend. Why i feel its more suited as a test to new people to anime. Easy to get into, simple plot then its easier for people to move onto other series.Someone told me that don't watch anime because they didn't like Dragonball Z. It offended me a lot. I don't know why. Dragonball is a great series but for me there are a lot more anime that triggered a lot more emotions from mere. A lot of other things taught me some life lessons.
Is bad tho how people think anime is DBZ, YGO, Pokemon. Then when you see the casual fan and ask what series there into Bleach, Naruto. "what about One Piece" Lol no. When i have been bored on gone on habbo just to kill some time ive met a few people into anime and not one has like OP and i get the usual response. "DBZ Bleach Naruto Fairy Tail Death Note"
I want there to be an Anime boom and interest to pick up. Need more anime on tv and not just Ghibli films.

I'd love another one of those situations where the avatar takes on the appearance and personality of a previous avatar like during the winter solstice (Or was it the equinox?) when Roku steps and destroys the entire temple.

In the long run, I think anime has probably had less of an impact on me. I find a lot of it is way too overly melodramatic to even begin to relate to or take anything from, but there are series that will stick with me through life, namely more down-to-earth anime such as Nana. I can see why people stereotype anime and it's fandom, however. A lot of it really is dire.Someone told me that don't watch anime because they didn't like Dragonball Z. It offended me a lot. Honestly, even though Avatar isn't anime it fits more with what is discussed in this thread than what is posted about in TV and Film.
But its off topic. Nah im kidding was just thinking because people might not look in this part and only in the tv and film bit.
Oh man, that general Iroh VA. WE ZUKO 2.0 NOW.
Nice episode this week. It's good that they've made use of the time they have. I'd much rather that people complain about rushed pacing in Korra than have to stomach filler episodes used to save animation budget like in TLA. It makes waiting for each new episode all the better when you know that it's going to have some substance to it.
Although the pacing sits well with me, it is a shame that the main cast are all so flat. Tenzin, Lin, Asami and especially Tarlok are all pretty well fleshed out whereas Mako and Bolin are extremely dry. As is Korra to a lesser extent. I sometimes feel that the VA for Korra herself is pretty lackluster with her line delivery. You could also argue that Amon doesn't have much depth but he has an excuse for being mysterious.
