    is basically how the network will be set up, my laptops/phone will be connecting to the main network router, and family laptop/networks/phones and guests will be connecting to the other network

    everything that's in a black box needs to be purchased so if you could recommend
    You can't have 2 routers on a home modem like that.

    What about daisy chaining the routers?

    You could do that... but unless your router supports VLANs or something there's nothing to stop guest traffic from hopping onto your internal network.

    Quite a few home routers nowadays provide a "Guest" wireless network of some description... it might be worth looking into that instead.

    I have a sidewinder x4 and it does the job perfectly. I use for everyday typing and it feels great and sounds awesome too.

    Found a few routers that support Guest Network (I think, not 100% on the lowest priced ones);

    ASUS RT-N53
    D-Link DIR-815
    D-Link DIR-655
    Netgear WNDR3400 N600
    Netgear WNDR4000 N750
    Asus RT-N66U

    Any suggestions/recommendations/thoughts?

    Also any suggestions on a switch?

    Asus RT-N66U

    I'd suggest the Netgear one - but only because I've never had experience with ASUS routes (didn't even know they made them o-O)

    Had a look at netgear one and had horrible reviews from users

    So going with the Asus one, just need a switch now and a keyboard
