If you wanted to start uni this year I think you'll need to wait for clearing now.. anyhow the best way to make a dession on what you would like to become is have a long hard think (perhaps in the shower!.. as we all know most thoughts happen within the shower..!) about what you really like, judge them on the skills and things you've learnt from college and put them into good use OR do what I did was take a Gap year from education and went into work.. thus giving yourself some vital work experience and more time to think what you really want to become

I started uni this year in March and was so close to not going to university, but I did and I love it. At high school I didn't do fantastic and had mainly a C average most the way few but after my first semester I now have a B+ average and I couldn't be happier with the choice I made. BUT in saying this it depends a lot on what you choose and how it suits you. I went to a university where it is more practical and hands-on rather than theoretical. Which suited me a lot better.
For those of you who are wondering I am doing a Bachelor of Business with a double major of Accounting and Information Systems at AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand.

I went to look around the University of Hull whilst at High School - it was a History trip and we went to learn about Nanny States... which was strange because we weren't even studying them! I remember the buildings looked so nice and old, with ivy covering the sides. Looked really nice.

I'm from West Yorkshire too! Nearer to Wakefield than Leeds though!

It's not a bad university, seems to be the second choice of everybody who don't get into Leeds/Sheffield/Manchester but its probably the city itself that lets it down. Yeah, the buildings are lovely - I'm based in one of the brick/ivy buildings at the front entrance. Even inside too - the map room just oozes history.
