Judging by ediootti's hint in this tweet: https://twitter.com/ediootti/status/215756801357004800, the IM will apparently have different themes (one being similar to old console?). They might not implement them straight away though.

It looks aesthetically pleasing and certainly more modern than the current console but it also looks more complicated to use. :S
