Default My attempt at an Egyptian sphinx

    Howdy people!

I come from the Danish Habbo and i just discovered this forum - it seems nice in here!

As you may know, there has just been a room competition on Habbo (i think it covered all the hotels) and i made it to a third place on the Danish hotel.

    Here is the sphinx:

And here is the cozy spot where i imagine grave robbers are camping:

I know it would be nice with some more details in the terrain but time was kinda shot
And i only added the obelisks to the room because it was required in order to join the competition.

    Say what you think

    Sincerely

    Lackey

PS. i will be posting more rooms during the next week!

The face makes me laugh - it's so small and cute. +Rep, well done!

Ha! I actually still laugh at the face. But i think it was the best solution considering the time limit.
    And thanks for the rep!

I think the front legs are maybe 1 or 2 blocks too long, but apart from that it's good aha! The face is cleverly made as well

Why do foreign hotels seem to have wonderful builders and we only have a few on .com? .

"SFINKSEN".... no way is that the translation LOL. Much easier to pronounce and spell I suppose.

    I love that,
I personally think the feet are just the right length!
They are long irl aren't they,
It's a fab recreation, I love the 'tomb robber' section,
    Really great work!

    Hope you stick around!

There are a lot of things that are personally uncomfortable to show, especially me
without makeup and completely bloated or crying. But I've realized that it's time for me to
show my audience that you don't have to be perfect to achieve your dreams.
Because nobody relates to being perfect.

I have studied real pictures of the sphinx and the front legs are actually pretty long. Try to google "the sphinx" and check out the images.

"SFINKSEN" is the definite form of the noun "sfinks" in danish. Translated to english it is "THE SPHINX".

Omg the face, haha! That's brilliant. I think the arms are a little long and I would have changed the landscape for the windows, other than that it is a very nice room.

Exactly! They are quite long IRL.
    Thanks for the feedback!

Hmm, so they are aha! I just thought it'd look better if they were slightly shorter, but I guess you're aiming for accuracy so 'tis fine

"Sfinks". You could not make this up omg, I expected it to be some really hard word to pronounce .

    Thank you
I actually considered to change the landscape for the windows but then i thought that it would fit well with a clear blue sky in the desert.

If you are not from Scandinavia i think you would have a hard time pronouncing it right. If this is the case you would have to pronounce unknown vowels like "Ø". It is pronounced "SFINKSØN" in Danish. Try to listen how the google translate voice pronounces it (it is almost correct): http://translate.google.com/#en|da|Sfinksen

But i can not blame you, it is said that Danish is one of the most difficult languages to learn.
