Can anyone recommend where to go to buy a minecraft server or does anyone own a half decent server apart from the hxf one? The server I usually go on has been down for a few days and I have no where to build

It's more or less always empty and I want to be able to go on it with my mates without them going 'wot is hxf?????'

you could run your own server if it was just you and a few friends. i run one from my laptop for me and 2 others and my laptop is pretty poo.

it requires you and your friends to download hamachi, but it's super easy. I used this video to set mine up:
