It's not really, in theory they should be more entitled to get emotional about it as they have been playing longer and are more involved and attached to it.

Think people do tbh. It's something that is too addictive.
It's only because of all the changes and the maturity levels of a new generation that have finally allowed me to kick it.

    superhappy.

of course, so many do. i can over do it sometimes, especially when i'm playing a game and end up getting nervous about it, hoping i won't mess up. i think both older and younger people can take it too seriously, especially if you are a frequent player and have accumulated a lot of furniture. i do generally find a lot of older users i meet tend to take the game very seriously, i suppose they just rely on the game for social interaction and things they can't do in real life. i'm sure it's the same with a lot of younger children too.

    OT:

People take habbo so seriously. My evidence:

I was a non-vip and this guy came to me and said "haha you're not vip" he then said "I bet I'm richer than you" he showed me a room full of rubbish norms and pixel furni, and I was way richer than him. (I don't care how rich/poor I am, I'm just saying) and then I said "No offence mate, but I actually am richer than you" then he said "Go away, jealous noob!!!"

Clearly this guy takes habbo too seriously and thinks he's rich and great 'cos he's vip. I'm not saying I'm rich btw, I'm far from it. I'm just saying it was hilarious since he was calling me poor yet I was richer. Hate these people.

If they've put a lot of time and money in as well then you can't blame an adult being upset. If they've not put any money and time in then you're right, it would be odd.

Christ knows why he is still CEO, he clearly doesn't know how to do his job and comes off more as a CCO (Chief Communications Officer) than a CEO.

With the matter at hand, Habbo users were incredibly and irrationally defensive of Habbo saying that it isn't a big deal, going as far as trying to divert blame to C4. No-one is sure why because C4 gave Sulake/Habbo the report before the show was aired, but because Sulake/Fortaine denied the issues C4 felt the problem needed to be given the rightful attention, considering Habbo is for children (Under 16s) and could not possibly implement proper safety and security features in what was its state at the time.

When that report came out, it was clear who took Habbo too seriously and who didn't. The language coming from the defensive side was appauling and their lack of reason was shocking.
From the news I watched I never saw these other sites being mentioned. Like I said I agree that the habbo situation was bad but I felt like the news was trying to act like it was just recent. The system that checks these sites must have had some big issue if it couldn't see the problem Habbo had as it was so easy to see - walk into a room - DO YOU WANT TO CYBER etc. from users. The thing parents should be worrying about is the sites they don't know about.
