You can't say events don't have high standards when you've been attending them very sparingly for a few weeks, come back when you have attended more because the standards for the most part over the summer was amazing (and i wasn't even staff then, would you believe that?). You also have to take into account that there are a HUGE number of people who just joined events / are still on trial, do you honestly think they are going to be amazing right away. People are human, they make mistakes and so what if they do its A GAME.

Where did I say they have poor standards. I said they don't have high standards, this could imply many different things regarding the standard. You say that there are rules in place, whereas Matt said that he can't control people. This sounds like two contrasting points. I'm suggesting that the rules be refined as there is too much favouritism and inconsistency. That is all I am looking to achieve.

I want everyone to be treated the same. You cannot honestly say to me that if a random Habbo came to a Habbox Event that they would be treated the same way as a friend or highly regarded Habbox user?

I treat everyone the same, friends or not. God knows how many times i've kicked tara from my events if she wont leave and im so close to her and we've known each other for years. Again, you can hardly judge this seeing as you've attended about 0.1% of the events that have been hosted this year and therefore don't have a clear picture of the situation. You just seem buthurt that someone won and you didn't hahaha

Is it just me, or does anyone else agree, that if it was him that got disconnected, I think he'd beg to get let back in? Afterall, he was shouting SCAMMM, and if he wasnt to be let back in, I'm guessing he'd also shout scam. Double standards

But from what I have attended, it doesn't seem so. The standard is fine, but I would have thought Habbox want to excel. I remember when I was part of the Events Team back in '09 and the events were excellent there with the rooms reaching the top of the busiest rooms on the whole of Habbo. We gained so many new users through them as we were welcoming and warm. I'm not saying this doesn't happen now I'm just saying the standard seems to have slipped slightly.

I've attended a random sample of events. Now when you are analysing and reviewing things, you gather a random sample and that is increases the chances of it being representative. From what I have seen it seems to be friends of the hosts being favoured by them and being more involved. This is from the "0.1%" I have attended so clearly if I have attended this few events, it is on a much larger scale. I see that you are now retracting some of your earlier comments by declaring that people do make mistakes and I am fully aware of this - but people should be prepared to learn from their mistakes.

I don't really see the relevance of this to the whole situation. Obviously I know it's not a scam and I don't think I've ever begged to be let back in after disconnecting.

Omg, this is still going on?? o.o

Ed., as you said, Habbo is a game. Just try to have fun. If you're not having fun as you're supposed to in Habbo, then just leave. That's not our/my (since it was my event) fault anymore.

Also if you think your events would be so much better, why don't you apply for the Department and let everyone else judge it? Times have changed and people also change. As an events player, you can be a pain in the butt for hosts. Yelling ''skem'' or ''riggued'' every single time and most times you're not even trying to joke about it. As you must figure out, this doesn't let Events Organisers in such a good mood.

@e5; if the situation was the same, if he came into my room after d/cing and told me what had happened, without starting to shout and insult right away like he has done many times, I'd let him in like I did. If I do it to one person, I'll do it to everyone.

I have a lot of fun on Habbo and generally I enjoy Habbox events but I feel that my enjoyment is decreasing steadily. I don't feel that you should take it personally, it's not a reflection of you. It is a general point that I'm trying to make.

Also I actually worked for the Habbox Events Department for a long time but resigned when I stopped playing Habbo to concentrate on exams and I was a Senior Events Organiser as a matter of fact so I feel that I can deliver.

Also yelling "skem" is obviously a joke by nature of the spelling of the word, I feel that this shouldn't be taken so seriously and I apologise if you took this the wrong way. But the underlying feeling remains.

In my events room and in the beginning of the thread, it really seemed that you were mainly posting this to attack me, or at least that was how I saw it.
And if you do think events could get better if you were part of the team, then apply. Show people how your events work and I'm sure some will make feedback threads about it and let you know what they think about it.

I don't have anything else to add to this thread at the minute, but I just thought I'd address the part where you said I can't "control people". I have no intention of controlling people because this is a Habbo fansite not some kind of boot camp. I'd like to think people are better than that here! Never knew you were in events though... I've been in the department since February 2009 and don't remember you as an SEO!
