In many ways, I completely agree with you. If someone asked me irl what charity/what kind I'd vote for, I'd always say some kind of animal one because I think they don't get enough attention sometimes and still deserve to be noticed aha - similar to you stating that smaller charities deserve more recognition. NSPCC, GOSH are fine to donate to but I'm pretty sure there are more that could do with a lot more money (in a world like this).

Even the RSPB and RSPCA get a fair amount, and are becoming companies rather than charities. Lose focus of the goal and start to focus on how to get more money. That's why I'm suggesting Scouts - I have first-hand experience of how difficult scout leaders find it, and they do all sorts of other charity work too.

Last year if I remember correctly a lot voted against an animal charity for various reasons and I don't think we should donate to them. A smaller one as suggested would be more worth while in my opinion!

Mm, what were some of them? I was flaming here last year and I can't even remember, losing memory already.

right i'm putting it out here again this year. as much as the RSPCA/NSPCC etc all need donations, i'd prefer it to be going to a smaller charity that doesn't get nearly as much publicity as all the big ones (this isn't a hate post towards them charities, it's simply my opinion and i'm not saying they don't deserve the money they get). they all need money too and it's a shame that they don't get anywhere as much as somewhere like make a wish. for this reason i'd like if RSPCA/NSPCC/GOSH/make a wish/cancer research/childline aren't chosen but regardless obviously some people will support them for their own reasons or maybe just because they're the only charities they've ever heard of so suit yourself

Charity: Water, Habbox can even have it's own donation page on the site so we can see when the donations make it to the charity. Further, feedback and media is given on the specific projects that donations fund.
