    Default Laptop suggestions?

    Hi,

I don't need a laptop for gaming or anything snazzy. Just for mainly everyday use. So things like music, fb etc, minecraft and most importantly college. I was looking for any suggestions on good, suitable laptops for me that look nice.

Nothing hard but I'm useless at knowing whats good and whats not so good. No max price atm so just go with what you feels good and i'll look into it.

    +rep

    thanks

I use the Acer Aspire 5739G (look it up) and it does me for those and flight sim so I can't see it having any trouble catering for your needs. It's got a nvidia 240M graphics card, 4GB mem and a 320GB HD.

The Lenovo is quite good, I was recently advised to buy one, and when I did, was very happy with the results it gave me. It's quick, easy to use -
I've got stuff like Itunes and things on it which work perfect, I go on facebook myself - works like a charm, and then of course my schoolwork has to be done on it as well - so I'm pretty sure it would work fine for you too. :3

This is probably a common answer, but I'd say a Macbook just because it's stylish, fairly small and it works amazingly. I use it for exactly what you said, i.e. Facebook, Minecraft and Music etc. For music it's amazing as it's an Apple product because if you have other Apple devices, you can link them up to each other via iCloud.

The downsides are that it will take a while to catch up with a few programs, i.e. some programs are not yet compatible, however you can set up a Windows partition easily to use these programs.

Overall, it is so enjoyable to use and very good appearance-wise, you can produce stylish presentations and projects with Pages, Keynote etc. (although you have to pay - but it's worth it!).

You can pretty much do everything you have just said on a Windows laptop even the iCloud business. The only difference is he has a greater range in terms of models and prices.

You seem to set looking nice as a requirement so I am with Will on this one and would recommend a Macbook Pro. I personally prefer OSX to Windows after using it for a long period of time.

It's hard to sum up everything that a Mac can do in a small paragraph tbh. Generally I prefer the UI, the Mac specific programs and some other things that I can't think of off the top of my head
