It's not like it happens all the time though, it's just a one-off thread, once a year. And I doubt anyone got over 500 rep, because they probably only got 10/15 reps max.. and I highly doubt everyone had 30+ rep power.

i'm going by what someone said in the help desk from going from 3500 to 3950 or something i think it was comity

Reputation has been broken for years, was stated by Jin in feedback a few years ago to be honest. We should also ban anyone who complains within December until 1st January - A month without any moaning would be so good.

broken or not, this doesn't improve it any just making it even more broken?

It will never be fixed. Only way it would be fixed if we blanked all reputation altogether or stopped using it and went for another system.

surely it canT be broken anymore than it is.... people where allowed buy rep..... you get it free with vip.....pointless rep is nothing compared to those lol

No it's suggesting if we make an exception for one thread, it should only be that posted officially by forum staff.

not allowing anyone to make a xmas thread, closing it an hour or so later and leaving the 30 people or whatever that posted with a bonus of 500 rep points, then creating another in a few weeks with the exception.
