    Hi,

As some if not most of you know, I do music. Basically I'm putting out a lot of new stuff next year that is going to cover many different genre's with a rap mix-tape finishing it all of in prep for 2014 (Yes I am planing for years ahead).

What I'd like you to do is take a lsiten to the stuff on my soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/itzlamz & let me know what you think by either posting in this thread or mentioning me on twitter. I would like some constructive criticism from you all so I can find ways to better myself.

    Thankyou,
    Lamz

I listened to "In This *****". I liked the beat behind it but the recording is pretty poor. I think you need to evolve more lyricly. There were some good lines in there which I really enjoyed but alot of it did seem pretty basic. You also pretty half arsed on the track, which is a downer. Need more power and emotion when you rap.

Good luck with the SB.TV too. I have a few friends that have been on there.

I respect you for creating this soundcloud and working hard to achieve your goal. In my opinion it's all a bit same-y and pretty generic rap really. I'd (if you can) invest in better equipment and then record a mixture of songs that can appeal to a wider range.
Apart from that I really like your work and hope you get where you want to be in the future, best of luck!

Thankyou, I have found a studio now so my recordings should be better from now on.

I think they weren't that amazing, but well done because it's better than what I could do. The one I liked the most was the Rodeo one, I think Hip-hop and rap always go well together. The I do it Freestyle, just sounded like you were really bored when doing it..

lyrics are the biggest issue for me, if you're actually taking this seriously you can't just be a carbon copy of every other rapper out there telling everyone how great they are and how money is your motive. "i'm the best in the business" are you though? if you're gonna proclaim that you're so amazing you should be able to back it up really but the lyrics aren't doing that.

the quality of the recording can be excused because you're just starting out and you will learn how to make the best use of equipment (or find better facilities as you say you have)

your ambition is admirable but if you want to be big you're gonna actually have to do something creative

Yea basically with this kind of music your lyrics are gonna be so important for keeping the listener interested, and personally I just didn't see anything in the lyrics you've done that distinguishes it from every other boring rapper that I can't get through even one song with. Perhaps as already said try out reaching to broader areas but also just making your lyrics more emotional and not about the usual stuff

Thanks everyone! A lot of people (not just you guys) have said my lyrics need to be stronger and I should aim to tell a story in a song/verse instead of writing and recording the 1st thing that comes to my mind. My solution is to take more time into writing instead of rushing or doing last minute writing. I like the wordplay of Chip, Krept & Konan & Meek Mill; so I will look more into what they do & how they do it to improve myself.

Good luck with it! Post your new songs once you have them.
