    Ok, my views:

Technically, people can post YT videos and make money off of it, and if the rule is you're not allowed to make money from clicking links, surely this involves people selling stuff on other websites?

Secondly, I dislike brad, but he hasn't done anything to be banned and should not be on the global ignore. If people are that bothered, they can ignore him. I still view his threads for the lulz. I'm really shocked by the decision to put him on the global ignore to be honest. Matt, I think you're one of the best GMs we've ever had, and I've always held you with a high regard, it would be a shame to see you leave on a low to be honest because you're making this decision based more on your own opinion than by the rules.

Going to use your post to let people know as it seems people haven't read the whole thread (well Jake):

Brad is no longer on global ignore.

I was wondering why I could see his threads

In that case, it's just a case about the anti-referral rule, because it seems a bit silly to stop people from posting videos, even though it does technically break that rule.

Think it was videos that you make yourself and you get profit from it. Although, I think Will was going on about people who only post their videos and nothing else. But you could say the same for sites that contain Google Adverts or even hosting advertisements I suppose.

pretty sure that rule was created for sites like clickbux or whatever it was when people would constantly post ogmkifm.com/?r=83450 and get everyone to click it offering +rep and they'd get like £0.10 everytime someone signed up using their ref and stuff like that, wasn't aimed at people posting youtube videos that they took the time to make

So then we just create a rule that you can't use HxF solely for self promotion?

Yeah you could do that technically but I don't think it would be wise. As the rule would cover quite a lot of sites wouldn't it.

Yup. I personally don't have an issue with people only posting videos.

It does negatively impact the web market sub-forum somewhat.
