I thought this was something christmas related before working out that it is probably some Mediterranean town.

Anyway, I designed the original thermometer counter thing, it was 99% accurate this is because I factored in SMS transactions and the actual money we receive minus the fees and the same for paypal.

I am not sure if it was redesigned but if it was the likely chances is that it is using whole values and not calculating the actual outpayment from these transactions. Though even still it doesn't account for a large sum of money even if we account for the fees.

The likely chances is that it is actually calculating by number_of_months * £1.50 but some people earn discounts for purchasing blocks of 3 6 and 12 months which would obviously skew the figures.

    Edit:

If they wanted to nick money from the charity surely they'd post saying grats on raising £600 odd, say they donated it and we'd never know?

It's cool me and my homeboy Bernie Madoff can kick it back in our prison digs reminiscing about the good times.

Now would probably be a good time to mention that the charity wont receive the payment until March and secondly they receive it as monthly instalments, there is a good reason for why we do this as it actually equates to an extra 25% of the original donation amount.

So whoever redesigned the counter did a big whoopsie and made charity lose about £150 that wasn't really there... At least it is easily fixed for next year, go back to the original counter

Even I don't think that Habbox would be low enough to steal money from a charity.

I'd like to know how the problem wasn't noticed sooner though, considering it was near enough the whole of December that it went unnoticed.

Because we don't actively compare between paypal and the counter and partly because the counter has always been accurate until now.

Looking at the new counter code I can't see how the figure has become so badly skewed but I will be taking a look at it myself personally.

I only said it in that way because I've had my falling outs with Habbox Management in the past but my opinion could never be that low of them! I meant that I trust Habbox Management to do the right thing okay

Ah okay then, I didn't know how it actually worked but if it gets fixed by next Christmas then no harm done

Is that the list of people who bought it? Because if so my name appears to be missing :S
