Your stated position on Gay Marriage is quite simply completely at odds with the Party's policy. Our policy on Gay Marriage is extremely important to us at this time. We have said specifically that we are opposed to the government's proposals on this, and that the Prime Minister has got it spectacularly wrong. For you to say precisely the opposite, on national radio, as the representative of YI, is absolutely unacceptable, and risks seriously setting back the party's current growth.

The party actually removed him based on his known support for beastiality and necrophilia - as well as using prime airtime to back gay marriage which is against core party policy as it's feared the European Court of Human Rights will force the CoE to comply with Equality laws.

I actually like Olly, he's a hard core libertarian - but it's been badly handled by the NEC when just a warning would suffice.

They say never to wash your dirty laundry in public, but every one loves it when it happens As far as I was aware he was removed based exactly on what you have mentioned. Gay Marriage is fine and UKIP are comfortable with it, but the key problem is that the Church of England and other religious institutes may be forced to hold marriages in their own churches, which is why it's against core policy at this moment in time.

That said, it's a shame some churches cannot hold gay marriages for members of their congregation who ask. A gay couple in Essex would love to be married in their church, but the church cannot allow it because obviously the regional synod does not allow it. A shame but those are the brakes.

L.12 UKIP candidates, elected members and officials are entitled to disagree with official Party Policy. When making public statements which are at variance with official Party Policy they must make it clear that they are giving a personal view. Any such statements must be made in a constructive manner and not harm the image of the Party or risk bringing the Party into disrepute.

If he was removed for supporting gay marriage or raising "philosophical questions" about taboo topics then I'd disagree with that as that is harsh and over the top. Despite that however these questions are just not issues for many people and if you're chairman of the youth wing then you should probably stick to the issues that youth want to discuss rather than your own personal questions.

Sorry but a nice guy who likes beastiality and necrophila, or even wants it just legalised - to me the two don't go with the word nice or anything similar
