Don't know if this sheds any light on it, but anyway:

build and/or decorate Chinese New Year themed rooms for our upcoming Year of the Snake staff quest event. We need 13 rooms in total. Think restaurants, dungeons and dragons, parks with Kung-Fu clad bots, Tai Chi Bingo halls, Chinese Wall, jade gardens. Game or wired theme rooms are also welcome. Chinese New Year furni will be out this week...

Of course the top 2 are "remakes", they've done the same thing for the past 3/4 years with the statues (with a slight diversion in 2012). Ox statue 2009, Tiger statue 2010, Rabbit 2011 -dont think a dragon one happened in 2012- and Snake 2013.

The poster is alright as well... I'm sure they'd rather focus on designing Valentine's furniture atm instead of more CNY stuff.

Yeah but the tiger and rabbit were actually different than a remake of the Ox Statue . Last year it was badges they gave out, but it was mire The Dragon That Spewed Fireworks.
