I think I've missed a few badges so I guess I've lost any chance of getting a prize.

Turns out that you don't even have to have the full set of badges to receive the snake badge and the prize. Kind of renders all the badge hunting I did obsolete...

All you have to do is click on somebody else in the room who is wearing the required badge, you don't have to wear it yourself. So basically anybody can get the prize, even if they missed all eleven others. Ridiculous.

Once you active the quests, you can just click on the person who is wearing the badge required (by the quest) in order to complete that part. So all I had to do was click someone wearing the e.g. tiger badge to complete that quest lmao.

All 12 are out now, waiting for the sofa in the next 2-3 days it said, I think. The quest told you which order to have the badges in, so that helps.
