Different countries have different laws on what constitutes towards gambling. Presumably the U.S. doesn't consider the betting in casinos/grabbers as breaking the law on underage gambling, but the ruling in Denmark was that it wasn't allowed - so they were forced to disable the dice.
Habbo Singapore had a gambling ban before as well (before it merged) and a few other hotels have one. .com is quite lucky not to.

wow that sucks. also, if this happened on .com it wouldn't just be the end of gambling it would be the end of bingo!!Different countries have different laws on what constitutes towards gambling. It should be banned in all hotels. I don't know of many countries that allow underage gambling, but I guess because Sulake doesn't officially endorse it it's not a problem.
But I could guarantee if someone like channel 4 decided to do a news report on gambling in habbo Sulake would come out and say 'oh we didn't know blah blah' lol
/ I can understand the closing times to save money on moderation and stuff, I wonder if .com will ever reach such little traffic that they will close it at certain times, I hope not anyway since it's like international sorta
Not sure if they can design something like this, But why don't they design something like a translate so if they don't talk English it auto translate for us so we can see what they are saying but for them it keeps to their language? Then close every hotel and just have 1 might cost alot but saving in staff wages ect...
what's the difference between .com and brazil? how are they pulling in more people?
That probably wouldn't work because not everything can be translated, e.g. people shortening words, using abbreviations, etc. I remember going on to the .de hotel years ago just to see if it would help me with my German (A).Not sure if they can design something like this, But why don't they design something like a translate so if they don't talk English it auto translate for us so we can see what they are saying but for them it keeps to their language? Yeah because of the different time zones it wouldn't work on the .com hotel. Only on hotels which are aimed at one timezone, like .co.uk if it was still openIt should be banned in all hotels. I'm not quite sure really but it seems people from that area seem to like the Habbo product more hence the higher numbers than the rest of the hotel. I wonder if Sulake do any special advertising for it in that country? Does anyone know what the staff are like on there and if theres any interaction etc.

I used to look on a .es fansite quite often a while back, and it seemed like Habbo.es and Habbo.com.br did have more in-game events/competitions and whatnot. Pretty much how Habbo.nl get loads of competitions/quests and stuff as well because 'whoever is in charge of it all' (Airblender?) is based there.I'm not quite sure really but it seems people from that area seem to like the Habbo product more hence the higher numbers than the rest of the hotel. Staff interaction I'm not really sure, but I faintly recall there being some kind of big campaign irl to do with Habbo.es/Habbo.com.br.
I would say the sheer/shear number of Spanish & Brazilian speakers probably boosts that count a lot as well.
