Default Regarding the 'most known habbo' thread

In the Habbo In General section of the forum there is the thread 'most known habbo' there is a chance to reflect on the history of habbo hotel by recognising the most popular habbos of the past. Some people chose to recognise a well known scripter/hacker which is what he/she was and everybody who played around that time knew.

These people who have shared their views have received a warning which in my opinion and in many others is unfair. The reason as I feel this is unfair is because the habbo in question was involved in their activities over ten years ago now. Why can we not discuss his goings on ten years later?

Also there is an opportunity to educate new habbos in this thread by explaining their views and who they feel was the most well known habbo of their time and should new habbos ask questions about these famous habbos people can inform them.

My question I ask is are these warnings appropriate and fair?

Thats the link to the thread. I didn't receive one but some others did. Which I think is taking moderation powers too far. Even a super forum moderator got in on it.

Pointless warnings and mod edits. People use hacking interchangeably with scripting. Pretty sure there are tons of threads about sonicmouse hacking/scripting from the golden era

This rule shouldn't even be followed so strictly, as I said in the thread, everyone accusing Oscar Pistorius of murdering his girlfriend, that's 'accusing others of illegal activities'. So should that whole thread be removed, no? That's silly.

The rule is obviously meant to be used to just prevent forum arguments between users that are being accused. Obviously this rule needs to be re-written if Moderators are taking it that literally.

People like SonicMouse, Just-One, Finch all admitted and if they all still used it would carry on admitting they scripted, hacked and attacked. unsure whats going on here.

Absolutely right. It seems there is a case of trigger happy moderators who are itching to dish out warnings for the littlest of things. This forum is very quiet compared to recent years and if the moderators are going to dictate what people can and can't talk about topics like this the forum will continue to decline which is a massive shame.

The rule is fine it's just moderators not using common sense

    Haha

It looks like it has been changed back now anyway. Can't really blame Matts because there's a big chance he wasn't aware of who Sonicmouse was, for all he knew sonicmouse could have been some habboxforum member or something.
